Story about a vacation!

When I was young we often went to Luxembourg in the autumn holidays. Those were not my “favourite” vacations, but I get some sort of a warm feeling from the inside, if I think back to those vacations. That’s why I want to tell you about Luxembourg. I have a lot of nice memories about them. I don’t remember all the details, but I’ll tell the small things that always have been stuck in my memory.

When we visited Luxembourg we always went to Kaundorf that’s near Wiltz. Kaundorf is a very small village that’s surrounded by mountains. (Not very big mountains but mountains are mountains, right?) We always booked the same little house near the woods. It was not some kind of resort, (I don’t like that at all) but there were two little houses, which could be rented. The property around the house was enormous. There were cows standing in the meadow next to that ground. It was just very rural. The smell of the air in the morning, I still remember that, weird isn’t it? Alright..

I think we’ve been there more than five times. I don’t know exactly. Most of the time we went there, friends went along or other family joined us.

Well we didn’t do much when we were there. Whole days of just messing around. But when you’re a kid, than that’s great! We were playing at the playground. And every afternoon we dragged tree-trunks from the forest, for the campfire. And of course we had marshmallows to place on the fire! It was a hell of a job to find the right piece of wood to prick your marshmallows on. And then you had to cut a point at the stick, well you keep a kid busy like that as a parent.

Two years ago we went with my family and my aunt, uncle and three cousins to Luxembourg again. That was fun! We went out, to a disco in the area. We had to be there, the only place to go out was that disco. Yeah, there were some pubs but that was boring. At the disco was some weird band but with a beer, my brother, sister and three cousins around it was also great!

I think it’s very boring when you live out there, as someone of my age. You live in the middle of nowhere.

But the whole idea of going to Luxembourg two years ago was, to have a nice time and to visit the little house were we used to go on vacation. So we drove to Kaundorf. When we arrived it was totally different.. There were standing ugly houses instead of cows!

(Those important cows!) What a pity, that it had changed so much! Of course it’s logical after so many years, it couldn’t be the same. Luxembourg, it sounds a little bit boring, but I had great times there!

Well, that’s it.

See you next time,

Greets Karen!!

the contense of my bag. by Marlie

Last week we've got the topic what was the contense of your bag for the blog's.
Well I will tell you what is in my bag today... it's a bit messy but I will take it with me everyday to school because when you need it you don’t have it. At first you see a lot of lesson letters and things that I need to do for school in an orderner. After that you see my dummy where I draw all of my paintings and sketches. Then comes my agenda and my pen bag where I keep all my pens and pencils. I have two of them because I have so much mess in one that I have an other pen bag where I keep all of my professional pencils and stuff. Besides that I have food and drinks in my bag and what is in the front of my bag I don’t even know... you don’t want to know !! I will write a few things down... mp3 player, a few pens, mascara, lip balm, nail polisher, coupons, eye pencil, a lightener, more mess...
I think that was it... o no I forgot my camera.
Bye bye Marlie

Blog about our week at Tunisia

In one word Fantastic!

I will explain in big lines what we have done in Tunisia.

We had to be at school at 8 o’clock if I remember it right. We jumped in the bus quickly, ready to go to schiphol for the flight to Tunisia. We flew with Tunis Air. It amazed me that we didn’t fell out of the air with that plane.

Finally, when we were at the airport at Tunisia we did go by bus to the little schools. The school where I went to, named Adiba, was the last school of the bus trip. So we had to wait very long before we were there.

I thought it would be very primitive. But it wasn’t very bad at all. We had a Toilet! And water taps. There was also a kitchen. And a quite big sleeping room. It fitted precisely with al our luggage included. We had a group of 16 students including the two teachers.

The children were sweet. Al the time they said Bonjour Madame, salut. So sweet! They were curious but also reserved.

We builded a swing, a couple of farm irrigationsystems and painted a lot of things.

On Wednesday in the afternoon we had a tournament with al sorts of games. Chair dancing, tug-of-war, soccer with water bottles and a lot more games.

Marlie and I guided tin throwing. (I don’t know how to call it in English) It was a hell of a job! Those kids where so enthusiastic. They were almost fighting for the balls to throw. We wanted the kids to stand in two rows, but they didn’t understand that. Lucky for us a teacher came and helped us and also to keep the children calm! But after all it was a great experience. How those kids can be happy with nothing.

It was also a lot of fun with the group. Every evening we had a big campfire. If you had a hole in you’re jeans, you had to be aware that it wasn’t ripped of your legs, to feed the campfire. A lot of fun! All the rubbish we had went on the fire. If we didn’t do it the teachers of the school would also burn it behind the toilets. And of course we had marshmallows and kruidnoten.

We spent two nights in a hotel named Tej Mahadar in Sousse. And we have been going out in a discotheque with 70 people total. A whole bunch of kaaskoppen together. Of course we had after party’s in the hotel rooms. They we’re a lot of fun too!

After all it strikes me that you become acquainted with you’re classmates of completely other sides. You get to know eachother much better.

It was great, just outrageous!

I have so much more to tell, but it’s far to much for this blog.

movie revieuw by karen

Review about Harry Potter and the order of the phoenix

I love to read the Harry Potter books over and over again! You can’t stop reading them. But the movies are also great. There are 5 movies out now. The last one was Harry potter and the order of the phoenix. But the best movie of the five, in my opinion was the prisoner of Azkaban. I’ve read the last book ( that’s book 7, Harry Potter and the deathly hollows) in English, because I could not wait for the Dutch version.

But I was going to talk about Harry Potter and the order of the phoenix. When I had seen de movie I was a little bit disappointed. In de beginning is was going so quick. It seemed that the director had a check list or something, of the scenes that he wanted in the movie. But he sort of glued it at each other. I think it was not understandable for people who didn’t read the book. It’s also difficult for the director, the story was very long, and then it’s impossible for the director to get every detail of the book in it. There were a lot of new characters in the movie. For example Luna Lovegood, she was played very good by Evanna Lynch.
But if you look at the scenes, there were a lot of very beautiful parts in the movie:
When the characters form the army of Dumbledore, and they fight at each other, they are training spells.
And At the end of the movie when Dumbledores army fights against the death eaters in the ministry of magic, that’s a very beautiful scene! That black and white shades you see in that scene and also the music that was in that part was nice.
After al I liked the movie, but the books are the best. I recommend you, read the books first and then watch the movies. You will understand them better.

My fiction character named KLIKO

My fictional character is a cartoon/manga female person, she has purple hair and is a littlebit mischievous, cheerfull, funny, energetic and a bit stupid to. she is 18 and works together with her smart and clever sister sheva and their evil brother daisuke. there mission is to make the world misserable bequase everything cannot be wright. they want that people make pretty mistakes so everything goes wrong.. sounds not so very happy to me but that is the funny fact about kliko. sche is always so exited and clunsy but she can also turn that into agressive power that wil never stops. that's the reason why she does power yoga and fichting sports to correct that feeling. I think she is very funny to watch en in the combination with her sister and brother even more funny. the opposites of them are macy, jimmy and satochi. they present the good but the only thing what they have to do is stop kliko and there evil brother and sister. macy is the only girl in that family but that gives her more power to express herself. jimmy and satochi are a but clunsy and very boyisch... they always make it not easy to make the world a better place en screw it up somethimes. but after all ... it always ends with a HAPPY ENDING :D
